New Biking Trail In Progress

The first leg of the Frisby Ridge bike trail is nearly complete. As part of its mission to improve the biking opportunities here in Revelstoke, the Revelstoke Cycling Association has undertaken the construction of a new bike trail on Frisby Ridge. With the weather getting colder and snow starting to fall, the construction crews will have to hurry. The association is still hoping to finish the first part this year. Once completed, the first leg will be 12 km long. The cross-country trail will be intermediate level single-track. The trail starts with a 5 km climb through the forest, up into the alpine heights. The trail then follows the ridge line north. There are spectacular views of the Monashees and Selkirks along the route, and a small alpine lake at the end. Mountain lodge spa. The complete plan for the trail will create a 35 km long path. Riders should be able to enjoy the trail from July to September in future years.

The new trail is just one of the many tracks available to explore on a mountain bike here in Revelstoke. When the snow isn't falling, this is the best way to explore the mountain wilderness that abounds in this area. The mountains of Revelstoke are great fun any time of the year, but the snow brings out something uniquely special. Some of the best backcountry terrain around lies on the tenure of Mica Heli Guides. At over 177,000 acres, it's hard to find something missing from their helicopter tours. It starts with their secluded but luxurious mountain lodge right on to their tenure. From the lodge, you could be skiing or boarding after only two minutes of flight time. The terrain is quite amazing, but what really make their tours the complete package are the tons of B.C. champagne powder that fall without fail every season. If you want a once-in-a-lifetime heliskiing bc vacation, book now with Mica before their tours sell out.
