Social Mountain Biking

Revelstoke, British Columbia is a mountain paradise year round. In the winter, there is skiing and snowboarding, whereas in the summer, there is mountain biking and hiking. While there are plenty of awesome trails and parks to explore on your own over the summer months, one of the best ways to explore is in the company of fellow cyclists. For that purpose, every Thursday night, Revelstoke plays host to Pedal & Pint. This fun-filled evening starts at 6PM at the Community Centre. After two hours of sweet trail riding, the event heads over to the River City Pub for drinks and merriment. Heliskiing Canada. Even if you don't want to mountain bike, make sure to check out the pub, as it is one of the best places to eat and drink in Revelstoke.

Revelstoke is a great place to live, and an even better place to vacation. While activities like the Pedal & Pint are on hand during the summer, skiing and snowboarding are the things to do once everything turns white. As powder enthusiasts and professionals have grown tired of the regularity and rigidity that defines skiing at a resort, more and more have gone in search of that perfect line in the backcountry. B.C. plays host to around 95% of the world's cat skiing and heliskiing every year, and reason number one is the snow. As the moist air from the Pacific gets pushed inland by the jet stream, it meets the cold dry air blowing down from the Arctic and off the higher reaches of the Canadian Rockies. The result of this meeting is the incredibly deep and dry powder that has made B.C. famous. Here in Revelstoke, the best place to get access to this amazing powder is on the tenure of Mica Heli Guides. Stretching over  177,000+ acres, heliskiing at Mica is uniquely incomparable.
