Revelstoke Railway Days, the annual celebration of everything train here in Revelstoke, British Columbia, starts today. Revelstoke has a long history with rail, and indeed owes its existence to the creation of the Canadian Pacific Railway in the 1880s. This year's event is packed with things to do all the way up until the last day. The celebration will last August 12th through August 17th. This year, the event is also being held in collaboration with Timer Days, resulting in many forestry demonstrations being held throughout the commemoration.
